Multiattack. The tyrannosaurus makes two attacks: one with its bite and one with its tail. It can’t make both attacks against the same target.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 33 (4d12+7) piercing damage. If the target is a Medium or smaller creature, it is grappled (escape DC 17) and restrained until the grapple ends.
Tail. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 20 (3d8+7) bludgeoning damage.
How hard a fight? Against a party of four, a single tyrannosaurus rex is deadly at levels 1–4, hard at levels 5–6, medium at levels 7–8 and easy at levels 9–11, and barely a challenge from level 12. Add allies or more foes in the encounter generator.
Where you'll find it: swamps, forests and grasslands.
