Incorporeal Movement. The wraith can move through other creatures and objects as if they were difficult terrain, taking 5 force damage if it ends its turn inside an object.
Sunlight Sensitivity. While in sunlight, the wraith has disadvantage on attack rolls and Perception checks that rely on sight.
Life Drain. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 21 (4d8+3) necrotic damage. The target’s hit point maximum is reduced by an amount equal to the damage taken, and the wraith regains hit points equal to that amount. A humanoid slain this way rises as a specter under the wraith’s control.
Create Specter. The wraith targets a humanoid corpse within 10 feet that has been dead no longer than 1 minute; the corpse rises as a specter under the wraith’s control.
How hard a fight? Against a party of four, a single wraith is deadly at levels 1–3, hard at level 4 and easy at levels 5–8, and barely a challenge from level 9. Add allies or more foes in the encounter generator.
Where you'll find it: dungeons and towns and cities.
