3rd-level necromancy spell
You choose a pile of bones or the corpse of a Medium or Small humanoid within range, and it rises as an undead creature: a skeleton if bones, or a zombie if a corpse (the DM has its statistics). On each of your turns, you can use a bonus action to mentally command any creature you made with this spell within 60 feet of you (issuing the same command to any or all of them), deciding its action and movement or giving a general command. Without commands, it only defends itself; once given an order, it continues until the task is complete. The creature is under your control for 24 hours, after which it stops obeying. To keep control, cast the spell on it again before the 24 hours end; this reasserts control over up to four creatures you animated with this spell instead of animating a new one.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, you animate or reassert control over two additional undead creatures for each slot level above 3rd. Each creature must come from a different corpse or pile of bones.
