7th-level evocation spell
A glowing bead appears at a point you choose within range. When the spell ends, either because your concentration breaks or you choose to end it, the bead explodes; each creature in a 20-foot-radius sphere centered on it makes a Dexterity saving throw, taking the accumulated fire damage on a failure or half on a success. The base damage is 12d6, and it increases by 1d6 at the end of each of your turns while the bead hasn’t detonated. If a creature touches the bead before then, it makes a Dexterity saving throw: on a failure the spell ends and the bead explodes; on a success it can throw the bead up to 40 feet, and it explodes when it strikes a creature or solid object. The fire spreads around corners and ignites flammable objects that aren’t being worn or carried.
At Higher Levels. The base damage increases by 1d6 for each slot level above 7th.
