Regeneration. The troll regains 10 hit points at the start of its turn, unless it has taken acid or fire damage since its last turn. Only if it starts its turn with 0 hit points does it die, and it doesn’t if it hasn’t taken acid or fire damage this cycle.
Multiattack. The troll makes three attacks: one with its bite and two with its claws.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 7 (1d6+4) piercing damage.
Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (2d6+4) slashing damage.
How hard a fight? Against a party of four, a single troll is deadly at levels 1–3, hard at level 4 and easy at levels 5–8, and barely a challenge from level 9. Add allies or more foes in the encounter generator.
Where you'll find it: swamps, mountains, forests and coasts.
